Newest batch of hats!

Here is my newest batch of hats ...
all headed to Diamond, Missouri!!

The first one is a slouch hat
made from soft yarn ...
the color called Mimosa ...

The following two hats are pony tail hats / messy bun hats
one in red and one in lavender ...

This is what the top looks like.
I had previously made mine with a larger hole
but I decided I like the smaller hole better.

Here is the lavender one ...

I've just gotten over having the stomach bug and then the sinus bug
that has been going around.
I am just now getting back into crocheting and quilting again after resting during that period.
Hooray for feeling better!
Whoo hoo!!!

New Patterns For Dolls

My sweet hubby ...

bought me a small collection of Annie's pattern books and I was looking through them and found some things that I liked!
Thank you sweetheart!

Are you ready to see what I found?
This is so exciting!!!!!

This one is in
Annie's Showcase of Needle Craft No. 4

I get excited when I see dolls because my Grandmother Louise Williams
was a doll collector.
She would make their clothes and dress them.
The memory of her and her dolls always makes me smile.

This one is in
Annie's Showcase of Needle Craft No. 4

Look at this sock babie!
I used to make these in a different style.
I think I shall make some more and make some in this style as well.
They are great for baby showers or even as part of the decoration on a baby present.
So cute!

This sock doll is called "Sweet Pea"
and is in the
Annie's Showcase of Needlework No. 4

Messy Bun Hat / Ponytail Hat

My first messy bun hat / ponytail hat is all finished!

It took using two patterns before I found one that I liked.
I actually added just a bit to this one to make it finish the way I like them to.

I made this one to match my tie dye shirt!
Mission accomplished!

And I learned a new stitch!
So I will now be able to take orders for these as well.

.

I just used regular yarn for this one.
I can also use that soft fluffy yarn that we all liked so well on the slouch hats.

I have to say that I find this hat so comfortable that I forget that I have it on!

If you want one, message me and I will get started on one for you.
These will be the same price as my other ones.

Slouch Hat

This yarn and this color has been a very popular seller for me this year.
You can see why.
It's just so pretty and the yarn is so soft.

The color is called Mimosa.

I always spend the first 20 to 30 minutes of each project using this yarn
Pulling it and rolling it into a ball.

I don't pull too much at a time ...
More than what you see in my lap ...
But I have to limit the amount or I end up getting it tangled up.
And that's no fun!

I get it rolled before too long and then I'm ready to start.
Before you know it ...
The yarn is on the hook and we're ready to go!
I use a "K" hook for these.

The ribbing goes pretty quickly.
At this stage I have to count each stitch to be sure I keep the rows even.

When the ribbing is finished I no longer have to count stitches ...
Just the rows.

I really like the way the color changes in this color.

Here's the top after I have sewn in together.
I remember the first time I did this ...
It was an adventure!

And here's the finished hat.
Ready to go to it's new home.
